Seed Year in Review | 2018

It’s been a fun year for us at Seed Factory, with lots of great work we are proud of and major milestones for our agency!

We’ve travelled across the U.S. filming action-packed and memorable videos, from Breckenridge to Kansas City to Cincinnati and Orlando.  We’ve also branded a youth-led initiative for the CDC Foundation and created a new logo and brand refresh for a 10-year-old gaming company that’s here in Atlanta.

Included below are some of the highlights from 2018:

PowerSmart

We kicked off 2018 with a three-day video and photography shoot for PowerSmart. To support their growing distribution in Home Depot, Walmart and Canadian Tire, we produced more than 10 videos, in English and French to showcase the power of their snow blowers’ product line.

KontrolFreek

We rebranded KontrolFreek, a company that is an electronic gaming industry innovator in Atlanta. In celebration of their 10-year anniversary, they needed a new logo, visual mark and updated color palette that would create a visual representation of the strong and growing community of gaming enthusiasts. The new logo and branding efforts put a new face on FreekNation, their dedicated community of 1.5 million engaged gaming enthusiasts. We also created a teaser and launch campaign introducing the brand refresh as well as finished the year with an entire holiday campaign concept and assets library.

Vibe Kayaks

We’ve been working with Vibe Kayaks + Coolers for a couple of years now to build their visibility with current and potential customers. The fishing and outdoor company had built a dedicated following with feature-rich products that filled a price niche, but need continual growth of their customer base. With a strong content strategy in place, we’ve amplified their reach by getting them named #137 on Inc. 500’s Fastest-Growing Companies list and selected as a Top 25 Cobb Chamber Small Business of the Year. We’ve secured them media coverage in Men’s Health magazine and had their kayak products included in “best of” lists in a variety of national outlets.

Atlas Roofing

We’ve had the opportunity to work with multiple divisions from Atlas Roofing Corporation over the years but one of our all-time favorite programs has been their partnership with the Veterans Community Project (VCP). We love initiatives where there’s a greater cause at hand, like helping homeless veterans. We developed creative digital content, including video, to help tell their story and secure local and national media coverage.

Seed Factory

As we celebrate seven years as an agency this January, we outgrew our original office space and knew it was time to move into a larger space. While we loved the architecture, design and location of our hip West Midtown office, we packed up in June of this year and moved to our new Poncey-Highland office, just like rock stars. Don’t believe us? Watch it here. We love our new location which puts us minutes from Old Fourth Ward, Little Five Points, Inman Park and Virginia Highlands. With Ponce City Market, many restaurants, vibrancy and more office space, (that includes enough room for shuffle board), it’s safe to say we will be calling the east side home for a while.

CDC Foundation + Teens Linked to Care

We had the chance to work with our client CDC Foundation on a new program branding effort (we rebranded the CDC Foundation back in 2017). The CDC and CDC Foundation collaborated on a three-year project called Teens Linked to Care (TLC), which aims to develop a framework for rural communities to address HIV, STDs, teen pregnancy and high-risk substance use through teen education and primary prevention. We’re proud of the work and loved engaging on such a meaningful initiative.

WernerCo

And finally, we had another great year partnering with WernerCo, who allowed us to start our agency seven years ago by producing their first NCAA TV commercial. We’ve helped by providing exposure to their master brands from a dedicated PR effort that keeps them front and center as the industry leader in their product categories. Along with WernerCo brands winning 10 industry awards this year, we’ve had a lot of fun supporting their efforts selling game-changing products for the professional contractor and home DIYer!

We look forward to a great 2019 and are VERY thankful we have amazing employees, fantastic clients and a dog-friendly office that keeps us smiling. While we no longer have our Chief Security Officer, Daisy, who we lost in September, we enjoy this photo when she was still with us.
