Challenge

NACCHO (National Association of County and City Health Officials) needed to raise awareness and promote the of importance of the work being conducted by city and county health organizations. To do that, we set out to tell individual county stories that exemplify the kind of work being done nationwide.

Approach

Working with our clients during pre-production, we determined that Marion County, Indiana offered a strong example of the essential role county and city health organizations play. We helped select people for the interviews and prepped all involved as to what to expect during the shoot days. We developed the interview questions, identified film locations and coordinated and scheduled all logistics, including crew and post-production timelines.

Results

Our team developed five videos (one long format and four “cut-downs”) from a two-day shoot. We focused on individuals telling stories from their perspective and experience as a way to bring a larger, more complex county story to life.

These videos are now being used to showcase one example of how city and county health organizations strengthen communities and why their work deserves broader support.
