Client: BlueWater Ropes



This was a rebranding assignment, where the first focus was to launch a new website that better fit the well-known brand.

Bluewater Ropes’ old site was lacking personality or any design that presented them as a leader in the rock climbing industry. BlueWater sponsors some of the very best rock climbers in the world and has access to some amazing photography. We knew that in a performance based sports category like climbing, we needed to show amazing photography featuring the world-class climbers that trust BlueWater Ropes. Not only did we create a site that prominently featured these athletes on the front page, we created a whole in-depth Team BlueWater section, giving each athlete their own page.

The site doesn’t stop there, it’s also a full ecommerce site with over 125 products that represent 700 unique SKU’s. Our client had the insight to know that he wasn’t just selling products, he was selling a brand. The site is designed so that the ecommerce section of the site is simply another part of the navigation bar. The site rewards users for exploring the site, finding more photos, videos and stories, along with the entire line of BlueWater products.
